Overlook next right

Our travels went well we made it safely to and from Tennessee.  During our drive up I was amazed at the number of 80's love songs that my husband knew the words too.  It was hilarious he was singing in a very high pitched voice.  I was trying not to cry/pee my pants I was laughing so hard!  Our stay was nice.  It seems though the more we visit the more we become a part of Greeneville, TN.  I quote my husband when I say "Every time we leave Surry County it gets harder to come back".  It is my belief that each time you visit a place you either take a piece of it with you or a piece of you stays.  I'm thinking that a piece of us stayed in Tennessee.

Our drive home was not as eventful. We were fairly exhausted by the time we hit the North Carolina state line.  At that point both of us were just ready to get back to "our" bed.

After arriving we managed to actually get everything put away.  (Things normally stay in the luggage for another two weeks after getting back!).  Although I made sure that we weren't coming back to a messy home...we worked like little busy bee's before packing up to go on our short trip.  (Washed clothes, dishes done, bed linens cleaned, wanted to really mop and do the bathrooms, but the extremely deep fried food at the Autumn Leaves Festival seemed to over power my need to clean!  Also the time I got spend with my dad was priceless.).  Coming back brought mixed feelings of sadness of having to leave but yet a happiness to be back to our home.  Even though most of our friends and family reside here in Surry County I have always felt that I belonged somewhere else.  Missing all of the people we love will be hard, however life long dreams are in the making!!
