Collect memories, not things.
Let me ask you a few questions:
Do you ever feel like there is something missing in your life?
A burning in your soul that you just can't place?
Or simply that you are meant for more than your present situation?
Have you always listened to that little voice in your head or that "gut feeling"?
I always try too listen, but don't always take the advice that either are presenting. Your own little voice might be telling you that you should have kids, get married, or just something simple like eat a certain meal or wear a specific color. Everyone is different, that is the beautiful thing about this world.
Well, our little voices are telling us to sell everything we own and take off. I realize that I have touched on this topic in previous posts, but recently, with some of the life altering events we have had happen, it seems more prevalent now than ever. We find ourselves wishing we were the people on YouTube videos or blogs that we watch or read almost on a daily basis. There are so many things that we want to see, try and do that we feel like we are missing out on life. The hum drum of everyday existence just doesn't seem right. I feel like we should be doing more than just going to work day in day out. Repeating the same routine every hour of every day. Not only is the monotony wearing on us, but the sitting at a desk staring out of my office window is slowly killing me. I have put on quite a bit of weight, my back hurts all of the time, and my headaches are becoming more frequent again. Is this a sign from the universe that we are meant to be more? To do more?
Some people dream of climbing a corporate ladder to become a CEO (or whatever title you strive for), earn a lot of money, have the perfect house with the white picket fence, have children, etc. you get the idea.
Our dream is something completely different. Most find it crazy, but we are not about the money, the job, or having children. We want much more...
To wake up in a new location, with new views, experiences, and people is invigorating to us. We made a goal to sleep (for at least one night) in at least a different state/country every year. For the most part we have been achieving this, but not on the scale that we strive for. We know that this year we aren't going to be able to go anywhere for the first time in a long time, due to a job loss in the beginning of the year. So of course, we are now playing catch up and trying to pay off some debt that we accumulated during the six months that we didn't have two incomes coming in. We are tired of sitting on the sidelines of our own lives and watching it pass before us. We want more from this life than work and die.
Not to long ago we had a conversation with Granny Judy (G's grandmother). She made the following comment "You can't live by the what if's. You need to go, do and see. When I married Forris, the bible says forsake all others, that's what I did, and I wouldn't change it." That small combination of words during our conversation with her have stuck with me and I can't get past it.
There is always a new adventure around the corner! ☺

Our goals in the near future are: 1.) Work more on our photography, start earning some income from it. 2.) Get outside more, explore. 3.) Become healthier 4.) Lessen our clutter and possessions. 5.) LIVE LIFE TO THE FULLEST!
