The comfort zone
Well there has been a couple of changes that have occurred since the last posting!
First off I can't tell you how amazed at how quickly this year has flew by! It is hard to believe that next week is Thanksgiving!! Geez Louise! Time slow down! That leads me to the first change...
I have accepted to move branches within the bank. At the end of this month I will be packing up my station and moving to the other side of the county. Wow, that sounds crazy! I have worked at the same branches for eight years (since I began at the bank), with pretty much the same crew. That is getting ready to change come the next week. Today, the Elkin crew had lunch as a group for the first time and got to see the branch almost complete. It was an awesome experience! I will be honest and say that I have been nervous about this change, but also excited at the same time (along with a few other emotions thrown into the mix). I can truly say that after today I am sure that the right decision has been made. As soon as I walked in I felt like I was home. It is a beautiful branch with warm wood trim and grey accents. The thought of leaving the ones that I have worked with years and leaving that "comfort zone" has made me question the choice of moving, however there are some major positives that come along with this move. We will have the chance to help build a branch from the ground up, whose to say that chance will ever come around again. There are going to be all kinds of new experiences, people, and adventures. I realize that November 27th will be a hard day, I'm ready though. Will there be some tears shed? Probably. Will I be a hot mess? It is possible. Overall I am excited and ready for this next chapter!
Okay, so you probably wondering what else has changed...well here it is.
I have been emailing back and forth with my Uncle Jim for a a few weeks and just bouncing some things off of him and just asking for advice. He has posed a lot of questions for me and I took time to really think about them. The one that seemed to stand out was "What are the most important things that you need/want in the place you choose to live?" I put a lot of thought into this question in particular, to the point that smoke was coming out of my ears (well not really but you get the point.) To answer that question honestly all I truly need is a roof over my head, a place that is warm, a kitchen and Gary. That's when I realized that my obsession with having big house has to do with STUFF! For what ever reason I have an unnatural attachment to things. I have a fear of getting rid of them because I might forget the memories that come with them or loose me in process. So with that being said the house hunt is on hold and there still might be a possibility for a tiny home. Just stay tuned!

Good luck with the move! I know you'll do great! What an awesome adventure to partake! As for the home.... A home is where your heart is, the people you share it with.... It's not things. It's love. And whatever or wherever you decide that is, it will be so.
